Hyper Island master classes coming to Australia

MONTAN2.jpgThe Communications Council, Australia’s peak body representing the communications and marketing industry, is bringing the world’s leading institute for digital education, Hyper Island, to Australia to host a series of master classes in Sydney and Melbourne. The Sydney workshops will take place 17-18-19 September 2010 and the Melbourne workshops on 24-25-26 September 2010.

Founded in Sweden, Hyper Island has been dubbed the ‘interactive equivalent of Oxbridge’, with 90 per cent of students receiving job offers from top agencies before they graduate. Mattias Hansson, CEO of Hyper Island (pictured, left) says they have developed their learning method over the past 15 years.  “We are now extremely happy to offer the industry in Australia the opportunity to take theirbusinesses to the next level through the unique Hyper Island training.” 

Hyper Island students have been known to be recruited by companies suchas Apple, Droga5, Google, IDEO, Pixar and Goodby Silverstein &Partners while its master classes attract top level executives fromcompanies such as Saatchi & Saatchi, EURO RSCG and Ogilvy.

Since 1995, Hyper Island has trained around 1,100 graduates inStockholm and in an old naval prison in small town Karlskrona, Swedenwhile also developing tailor-made master classes for creativeprofessionals in Europe and the United States, out of its offices inNew York, London and Manchester. Hyper Island’s master classes focus on enhancing efficiency withinorganizations and using interactive communications as a tool forensuring high growth and long-term success. Classes are developed inclose collaboration with top agencies and brands around the world, andare partly inspired by leadership tactics employed by the Swedishmilitary. The master classes in Sydney and Melbourne will be tailored specifically for marketing, advertising and media professionals across creative businesses.
