Asa_Silverberg_web.jpgThe Communications Council, Australia’s peak body representing the communications and marketing industry, is bringing Åsa Silverberg (left), Hyper Island’s creative director and leading digital experts Mark Comerford and Mikael Ahlström to Australia to facilitate its Melbourne and Sydney Hyper Island Master Classes in September.

Hyper Island is a digital media school established in Karlskrona, Sweden.

Silverberg will be the Hyper Island Master Class leader. During thelast decade he has worked as agency director at Doberman, projectmanager at Vodaphone’s Mobile Internet Department, as well as aconsultant for brand marketing, business development, innovation andorganizational design, and behavioural and team building concepts.

Mikael_Ahlstrom_web.jpgAhlström (left) has over 14 years of digital experience in web development andan authority on entrepreneurial possibilities in the digital industry.He is the CEO of Sprout Park, a collective of highly successful mediaand communications companies specialising in areas including strategy,design, mobile communication and film production.

He was one of the first internet entrepreneurs in Sweden and worked atIcon Medialab in the early internet years, and is a graduate of theBerghs School of Communication in Stockholm.

Mark_Comerford.jpgComerford (left) has been a leader in the area of digital media for over 20years. He established Europe’s first online newspaper in 1994 when helaunched the website of Sweden’s biggest daily newspaper Aftonbladet.

He has been involved in media training for journalists since 1996;teaching journalists around the world how to use digital media as ajournalistic tool. He is currently an adviser on digital strategy to anumber of British media houses and teaches digitalisation in marketing,advertising and PR for Hyper Island.
