Simon Canning reports in today’s Media section of the Australian that, despite the loss of two of its best-known clients, Ian Rowden (left), the regional chief executive and chairman of Saatchi & Saatchi, believes the agency is poised to benefit from the influence of markets such as China and India.
Rowden took regional control of the agency just over 18 months ago, installing John Foley as managing director of Sydney and the agency is continuing to retool under his leadership.

Retool???? The only tool is the one losing Saatchi all those clients.
There’s lots of opportunities in China and India? No fucking shit Sherlock.
So how is S&S doing in Asia? Don’t be shy.
Wow. So there are opportunities in China and India? No fucking shit Sherlock. I think this interweb thingee could be quite big one day too.
Clearly Simon and/or Ian had nothing to say and plucked a ‘fact’ out of the air. The opportunites in China will need cleverer people that that to exploit them.
And in the meantime Saatchis offer proof of the Product Life Cycle theory.
The phrase ‘Fiddling while Rome burns’ springs to mind.
Have they gotten rid of the dol yet?
