Clemenger BBDO Melbourne snares GPY&R’s Ingram and Couzens for creative director roles

CB Exclusive – In what is sure to be a major shock to GPY&R, Melbourne, creative directors BenCouzens and Jim Ingram have resigned to join Clemenger BBDO, Melbourne.

 

Couzens (far left)and Ingram (near left), who were promoted to creative directors at Patts in December 2009, have been responsible for a number of major award-winning campaigns,including Schweppes ‘Burst’ (recognised by the Gunn Report as the second mostawarded commercial in the world that year), VB ‘Symphony’, the Cadbury ‘It’s noPicnic’ work and Defence Force Recruiting campaigns.

Ant Keogh, executive creative director of Clemenger BBDO Melbourne, says he is delighted to beworking with the pair again: “Benand Jim have created some genius work of late. We also know, having worked withthem before, they’re extremely good blokes, so we were thrilled to hear theywere interested in coming aboard. No doubt they’ll help lead our creativedepartment to bigger and better things,” he said.

Couzensand Ingram will join the Creative Directors’ table at Clemenger BBDO Melbourne,where they will sit alongside Julian Schreiber, Tom Martin, Darren Pitt, RohanLancaster and Creative Chairman, James McGrath. They will be helping manage oneof the biggest creative departments in the country, working on clients such asCUB, Pacific Brands, NAB and Fonterra.
