BWM Sydney appoints Megan Hales to newly-created national head of digital strategy role

Pictmeganure 1.jpgBWM has appointed former Campaign Palace national head of digital strategy and planning, Megan Hales, to the newly-created position of national head of digital strategy.

Hales will be responsible for driving cohesive brand and digital strategies at a senior client level as well as ensuring greater integration of existing and emerging digital touch points across all campaigns.

Key to the role will be leading digital development of unique brand experiences for clients.

Says BWM Group CEO, Paul Williams: “The creation of this new position comes following continued growth across the board at BWM especially in Melbourne.

Digital is at the heart of everything we do, and we are really pleased that Megan has made the move to BWM to drive this across all client campaigns. We are looking forward to welcoming her on board next month. Megan will be working closely with Shaun Branagan and the broader digital team at BWM, which we believe, with the addition of senior strategic expertise, makes it one of the leading integrated digital teams in this market.”

Hales comes to BWM with more than 14 years’ experience in marketing and digital strategy in Australia and the UK. Most recently she was with The Campaign Palace as National Head of Digital Strategy and Brand Planner where she worked across a number of high profile accounts including Target, Pacific Brands (Bonds & Berlei), Bayer (Berocca & Elevit), Panasonic and Budget Eyewear.

Prior to the Palace, she spent two years at Saatchi & Saatchi Sydney as head of digital strategy/senior brand planner.

During her time in London, she also worked with HDM Total Communications Agency, AMV/BBDO, Joshua and Executive Studio.

Hales will begin in the new role during September.
