She takes up the role of in-house online content producer with a brief to produce high-quality video and other online visual content.

Ayrton began her career as a producer in the United States after graduating from film school at New York University. She worked for top advertising agencies such as TBWA Chiat Day, Deutsch, J. Walter Thompson and Kirshenbaum Bond & Partners, as well as notable US production companies like @radical.media and MJZ.

Back in Sydney, Ayrton has worked with local agencies such as Lowe Worldwide, Clemenger, DDB, Singleton Ogilvy & Mather, The Campaign Palace, BWM, and Publicis Mojo while producing for directors out of Film Construction.

HotHouse is a full service digital agency with 16 years’ experience in developing and executing online strategies, creating customer focused websites and planning and implementing digital marketing campaigns.

“I’m really excited to be joining the team at HotHouse,” says Ayrton. “The gap between old and new media is rapidly closing and HotHouse are on the cutting edge of convergence. They really understand how the digital space is becoming the hub of all marketing communications. As a producer, it’s great to be able to work with all aspects of content generation.”

“The need to create rich media content and interactive experiences with high production values is growing daily,” says HotHouse creative director, Xander Black. “Kate is an ideal fit with her strong production skills and agency background. Not only does she have a solid network of industry resources, but she also has a clear understanding of the digital space and the need to produce quality content at an affordable price. Digital agencies abroad are bringing video production in house to be more price competitive and I believe the trend will continue.”

Adds Simon van Wyk, founder of Hothouse: “We work with our clients to align their online business offering with the needs and preferences of their customers, so it’s really important for us to get their message across in the most effective way. Over the last ten years Kate has produced major TV and online campaigns for agency clients such as Mitsubishi, Evian, KPMG, Expedia, and Johnson & Johnson, while also developing close working relationships with directors and crew on a grass roots level, which makes her a tremendous resource for us to include in our portfolio of services.”
