MPA set to unveil new print campaign to promote magazines in the Australian market

Magazine Publishers of Australia (MPA) is set to unveil a new print campaign to promote magazines in the Australian market and change public perceptions of the medium.
‘The Power of Print’ campaign, which features a series of ads adapted from last year’s US campaign created by Y&R New York’ (pictured), will launch this week, supported by Australia’s big four consumer magazine publishers: ACP Magazines, Pacific Magazines, News Magazines and Reader’s Digest.
The US campaign was conceived by Rolling Stone founder Jan Wenner.

Love the 80s quasi-rolling stone typography.
The fact that they are doing this campaign kind of dilutes their message really.
The idea behind the first one.
I both the headline style and art direction, these are overwhelmingly old fashioned.
Back in the day when Magazines were popular,
these are what ads were like kids.
