Doley-web.jpgCB Exclusive – Less than a year after joining Clemenger BBDO Sydney, senior art director Michael Dole has been promoted to head of art.

Dole brings a ton of art direction and design experience to the role from shops including W+K Amsterdam, GPY&R, BWM and most recently JWT Singapore. He’s produced work across a wide range of both creative and hard-to-please clients like Nike, Coke, Singapore Airlines, Vodafone and Heineken.

Since joining Clems, Dole has teamed with creative director Luke Chess. As well as the successful Virgin Australia brand launch, they’ve worked on Smiths, Nobbys Nuts, Whiskas, V energy drink and Foxtel, among others.

“Doley’s brought passion, fastidious craft skills and a unique wardrobe aesthetic to the agency,” said ECD Paul Nagy. “He’s been key to the launch success of Virgin Australia, and has been an inspirational mentor to the creative department already. I’m looking forward to seeing him do his thing on more accounts across the agency.”

Says Dole: “I’m feeling a weird mix of excitement and humility at the news. The great brands at Clems deserve equally great work. So as soon as I’ve had a couple of jars to celebrate, I’m getting stuck in.”
