‘The Bondi Hipsters’ Dom and Adrian seek “brahnd” sponsorship to attend the Olympics

bondi hipsters 2.jpgIf you haven’t already seen the Youtube web series Bondi Hipsters, have a look at the latest instalment, a music video entitled ‘The Life Organics’ which has notched up in excess of 110,000 views in just a few days.

Bondi Hipsters stars Dom (Christiaan Van Vuuren) and Adrian (Nick Boshier) (pictured),two socially ignorant, industrious jerks from Bondi, who own and operate their own underground fashion label.

Dom and Adrian want to head over to the Olympics in London this year, to create daily content, and report back to the youth of Australia. Only problem is, they can’t afford it right now as they’re totes broke and their fashion label is a slow burner.

Recently, the duo stumbled across a media trade publication, which said “something, something, brand funded, something digital content”. So they’re now expecting that some “brahnd” will jump on board and help them get to London.

Are there any takers out there?

Earlier this year, Van Vuuren joined Sydney-based content creators Infinity Squared as a writer /creator. Van Vuuren is best known for his Youtube based character The Fully Sick Rapper, where, whilst in quarantine with an aggressive strain of tuberculosis in 2009, he started creating comedic rap videos and gained a substantial subscriber base.

Last year, Van Vuuren (and his brother Connor) won the Optus ONE80 Project and have since produced a 60 minute pilot for MTV Australia entitled SICK.

Van Vuuren joins Nick Boshier (one of the creators of Beached Az) in a new kind of model which promotes the use of online creators and their audiences as a means to produce originated programmes and also work with agencies and brands to create bespoke content.

If any “brahnds” are interested in helping Dom and Adrian get to the Olympics, please contact Dave Jansen at Infinity Squared.
