ninemsneharmony.jpgMi9 has today announced the formation of a new strategic partnership with matchmaking website eHarmony. The alliance will bring the world’s leading and most successful dating service to Australia’s largest online audience.

The two-year relationship, which will officially commence tomorrow (3 July), will see the eHarmony brand integrated into the ninemsn homepage and across the network. The relationship will also see the introduction of a dedicated eHarmony and ninemsn co-brand site hosted within the ninemsn network.

The deal also incorporates a media package that will see inventory featured across ninemsn’s 80 plus premium content sites.

Says Matt James, managing director of Mi9 Media: “Coupling Australia’s largest online portal and its audience with the leading matchmaking service is an exciting venture.”

“We’re delighted to be using the ninemsn properties to drive brand awareness for eHarmony across our network – with a strong focus on video content, to complement eHarmony’s ongoing relationship with Channel 9.”

eHarmony’s matchmaking service provides Australian singles with a unique way to look for their someone special. The service matches singles with compatible traits and characteristics that eHarmony’s researchers have identified as the key components of a successful relationship.

Says Jason Chuck, eHarmony Australia country manager: “eHarmony is committed to bringing more love to the world so we’re thrilled to be teaming up with ninemsn, leveraging their platform to bring eHarmony to a wider audience. This is an opportunity for ninemsn users to access the over 1 million Australians  who have taken the patented questionnaire and begin their journey to find love.”

The eHarmony brand will begin to appear across the ninemsn network from 3 July, with the co-brand site launching within the network simultaneously.
