Buresti, who accepted ‘Strategic Agency of the Year’ at the APG Creative Strategy Awards 2012, alongside the Grand Prix APG award for his ‘hungrythirsty’ OAK campaign, will welcome industry professionals to share in his experiences by unveiling the strategic planning decisions that led to his recent successes.

Focusing on his award-winning OAK campaign, Buresti will cover how he and his team identified, created, and championed the new gut-filling occasion ‘hungrythirsty’, which not only grew the flavoured milk category in a market dominated by one player, but increased per capita consumption of flavoured milk in Australia’s weakest market.

Having built a 12 strong team of strategic planners over the past three years at The Monkeys, Buresti’s insight in developing his own business will also prove a valuable lesson for attendees. He has worked for leading agencies Saatchi & Saatchi, BMF, and Droga5 on some of the world’s best known brands including Toyota, Head & Shoulders shampoo, Tooheys and XXXX GOLD.

Says Russ Mitchinson, chairman of APG: “Fabio’s is a great story of rich consumer insight, great creative potential and award winning work. His success in building planning at The Monkeys is a testament to this. This is fantastic for strategists, account managers, planners and creative to meet and learn from Fabio and his inspiring story.”
