Fred Raillard, Foreman of the Art Direction Jury at D&AD 2013 said: “In previous years, I’ve always been a ‘yes-man’ but as the Jury Foreman this year I’ve become a ‘no-man’. I’ve seen some strong pieces of work but no emergent trends have really come through. As a result, we’ve been very tough on the work entered this year. The great thing is that there has been no ‘crap’ this year; art direction is certainly in robust health, even if there were no break through pieces of work to come through.”
