Hyundai apologies, pulls controversial ‘Pipe Job suicide’ web film created by Innocean Europe

Hyundai has apologised and pulled a controversial web film titled ‘Pipe Job’, created by Innocean Europe for the new ix35, that appears to depict a man attempting suicide in the garage of his home.
The spot was trying to make the point that the ix35 had 100% water emissions.

and Hyundai is claiming they had “no knowledge” of the commercial. Fuck off.
anyway, it’s an appalling attempt to win a cheap award and a pretty shameful piece of non-advertising. a low watermark for our industry IMO.
