Kidsafe Animation 1.jpgAs part of a program giving young job seekers with disability real campaigns for real clients to work on to build a credible portfolio through Disability Service Australia, mentored by Australia’s leading advertising creatives, strategists and developers, Disabilty Training Australia is set to unveil its first campaign for Kidsafe.

Kidsafe wanted to highlight common dangers around the house and their solutions, as 5 children die a week from preventable injuries in Australia, with the majority happening within the home.

kidsafe_Storyboard_V4.jpgThe campaign is an up and coming social media campaign where as a thought starter an animated video is made using power points as an example and the solution to prevention (safety plugs).

Parents and children will be then asked to choose from a sheet researched by Kidsafe as the most common household dangers and recommended solutions. They will pick 1 danger/solution and be asked to write a script and draw characters together (parents and children) for educational and engagement purposes.

The story with the most likes gets to win by getting their story turned into a 15 second animated video that will be uploaded to facebook, YouTube, Kidsafe website and have PR placed behind it to media outlets.

The young job seekers through the program with Disability Services Australia have been involved in the strategy and execution plan for the campaign.
