Sound production company GASinc turns up the volume in an international campaign for Cochlear

One of Australia’s leading sound production companies, GASinc, has played a pivotal role in a new international online campaign for Cochlear Limited.

The local firm was selected to develop an online film promoting the worldwide release of the new Cochlear Nucleus 6.

The short film features a day in the life of a hearing impaired woman “Molly”, and artistically and emotively showcases the benefits of the most technically advanced bionic ear implant.

According to the head of global communications at Cochlear, Phillip Prather, the organization wanted a sound production company involved from the onset to oversee the film’s strong audio focus.

Says Prather: “This global online campaign is a new strategy for Cochlear, and we needed the right sound company from the start to ensure it was a success.

“Jason Murphy of GASinc teamed up with director Matt Wilson and, after meeting with scientists at Cochlear to gain a full understanding of the product benefits, they formulated a concept to create complete harmony between sound and vision.”

The soundtrack to the film, which also plays a key role in the launch campaign, was composed and produced by GASinc.

Says Jason Murphy: “Working on the campaign has been an incredible experience from start to finish and I’m thrilled that our company was selected to take part in such a unique opportunity and very worthwhile cause.”

The product release and online film was launched in Istanbul last week at the ESPCI 2013 Symposium and will be rolled out worldwide as regulatory approval is received for local markets.
