KMartini.jpgSwitch Digital has announced today a major partnership between Melbourne chef, restaurateur and food writer Karen Martini, and national insurer, AAMI.

The agency has designed, produced and built an iPhone and iPad application covering 61 exclusive Karen Martini recipes. Additional recipe packs will also become available on a regular basis.

The agreement will give AAMI members and online users access to Martini’s favorite recipes free for three months, unlocked exclusively by AAMI. The application will then revert to a paid application after the promotion period ends.

Martini has been cooking professionally for more than 20 years. She trained at top restaurant Tansy’s in the early 1990s and has headed restaurant kitchens including the iconic Melbourne Wine Room, Icebergs Dining Room in Sydney, and her current artisan pizza restaurant Mr Wolf, winning countless chefs hats and other plaudits along the way.

Says Martini: “This is very exciting for me in taking my work to a much wider audience in collaboration with AAMI.”

Says Lee Stephens, Switch Digital CEO: “We are proud to work with Karen and AAMI on this project. The opportunity for Australia’s leading business owners, entrepreneurs and thought leaders to work with forward thinking corporations is untapped.”

Says Richard Riboni, AAMI executive manager: “We are constantly looking for ways to engage AAMI customers with relevant, new and exciting content. The immediate uptake of Karen’s app by our customers was overwhelming, pushing the app to the number one position on iTunes within the food and drink category in the first few days of launch.

“Our ongoing collaboration with Switch Digital, providing premium digital content to our customers and the wider online Australian audience, will continue to be a focus for AAMI.”
