Patty Keegan Richard Halmarick Jeff Ewing.jpgThis month marks a turning point for digital media and marketing learning company, Digital Chameleon since their launch 8 years ago. Today the company is announcing new appointments, further new business, and a move to their new offices.

Richard Halmarick and Jeff Ewing, both well known in the media industry, are joining Digital Chameleon as non-executive directors – roles that will bring their bespoke expertise, skills and guidance to Digital Chameleon through an ongoing consultative approach.

Digital Chameleon is also appointing further new staff with Carole Issa joining as project manager, and Adam De Gruyter coming on board as administrative assistant.

Halmarick is currently director of Kinesis Media, the only media specialist business in Australia to provide business advisory and coaching expertise to media and marketing businesses.

Halmarick has worked in the media industry for more than 30 years. In 1991 he established Halmarick Media growing the agency to become one of the most successful independents in Australia, before selling to Aegis Group plc (Carat) in 1998 as their launch strategy into the Australian market. Halmarick was appointed CEO for Aegis Media ANZ and later became CEO for all Aegis Media operations in South Asia, including Carat, Vizeum, Posterscope and Isobar.

Says Patty Keegan, managing director of Digital Chameleon: “We are delighted to have Richard join us in a non-executive director role.  He is entrepreneurial with a change management capability that has enabled companies to maximise their positions in their market. He is passionate about all aspects of the media industry and in particularly the need to equip marketers, agencies, and the media with greater knowledge on the use, application and effect of Digital within the communication mix.”

Ewing brings on board financial and operational experience gained from over 30 years working in both the private and public areas, with particular emphasis in the advertising and media sectors.

Ewing worked alongside Halmarick at Carat for 9 years and held a regional role encompassing multiple markets in South Asia and the Pacific region. He then joined GroupM as chief operating officer, and most recently was Company Secretary for a listed digital group and managed the sale of the operating businesses of that company as part of a total restructure of the group.

Says Keegan: “Jeff’s expertise in the financial arena, and his experience working for both multinational and independent companies, will be a great advantage to Digital Chameleon as we continue to grow our business.”

Issa joins Digital Chameleon with over 10 years experience in training, including co-founding and managing MEAS – the first Avid Learning Partner training centre in the Middle East and North Africa region. Issa is committed to continuous education, and has an Executive MBA from ESCP Europe, Paris.

Together with these appointments, and following the recent announcement of Open Universities Australia’s Open2Study as a client, Digital Chameleon has also been working with brands including Suncorp, Fairfax Media, Danone Nutricia and Bauer Media.

As a result of the recent appointments and their growth in new business over the past few months, Digital Chameleon has moved to new offices in Sydney’s Warriewood Business Park.
