Bezzina will be responsible for developing long-term client relationships in the region, supporting creative output and ensuring that the overall strategic vision for the office is evolved and delivered on. An expert in digital marketing with over ten year’s industry experience, Bezzina joins R/GA Sydney from M&C Saatchi where she held the role of group head.

Says Ameer Youssef, managing director, R/GA Sydney: “The Client Services team serves as a hub for our strategic, creative, and technological expertise to ensure that we always help our clients meet their objectives. Rebecca has the pre-requisite regional knowledge, skills and experience in this area to help continue to grow client relationships for the Sydney office.”

Since officially opening its doors in January 2013, R/GA’s Sydney office has grown to 18 in headcount, with hires in both creative, tech and experience design disciplines made. The office recently hired Bryan Jones as senior technical director, while it has also just announced its first major client work launch, collaborating with Telstra on its new ‘Sportsfan Lab’ for the State of Origin matches. The appointment of Bezzina will complement this growth and enable the office to grow both its client services team and current client portfolio.

Says Bezzina: “I’m delighted to have joined the Sydney office at such an exciting time – there is genuine momentum within the office since it opened, and the market place is certainly ready for such an innovative agency as R/GA.

“I’m looking forward to the opportunity of both building out a best-in-class client services team here and helping the office achieve its business objectives through collaborative relationships with brands in the region.”

Prior to joining R/GA, Bezzina worked at M&C Saatchi/Mark for over five years, where she quickly became part of the leadership team, lead several new business pitches and managed a team working across several clients. While at M&C Saatchi, she lead the successful pitch to win the Qantas Frequent Flyer business and worked on the award winning ‘Time to Choose campaign’. She also worked within M&C Saatchi leading the Commonwealth Bank account as group head across the business. In this role Bezzina was responsible for a team of 21, operational excellence, client relationships & championing of the creative process. Her experience spans many blue chip clients including Telstra, Commonwealth Bank, Qantas Frequent Flyer, Qantas, Nestle, Purina, Google, Australian Cancer Research Foundation and The Starlight Foundation. Bezzina won the ADMA award for ‘Young Direct Marketer of the Year’ in 2011 and has been featured in B&T’s 30 under 30 list.
