Smith’s launches ‘Stop The Chippy Slap’ spot in ongoing campaign via Clemenger BBDO Sydney
Clemenger BBDO Sydney and Smith’s have launched the next phase of their ‘You Know You Love ‘Em’ campaign, titled ‘Stop The Chippy Slap’ to promote Smith’s Thinly Cut Potato Chips.
A TV spot features The Castle star and Smith’s Chips favourite, Stephen Curry, and will be supported by outdoor executions.
The campaign calls for the end of the ‘Chippy Slap’, something we’ve all experienced at one point or other from a family member, friend or loved one trying to guilt us out of eating tasty treats like Smith’s Chips.
Says Paul Nagy, executive creative director at Clemenger BBDO Sydney: “It’s been a real pleasure being part of this social marketing push to address such a serious issue.”

and this is my story.
Good ads, though I’m more concerned about the Chippy Fat.
Love it 🙂
Good ad, good series – nice work
zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz
the aussie cricket team approves
I used to like Stephen Curry, especially in The Castle.
But in these ads he comes across as an unfunny, complete knob.
As Derryn would say ‘Shame. Shame.’
Funny spot well done!
Cringeful.
