AIMIA_logo_262x198.jpgAIMIA has today announced three newly elected members of its national committee. The AIMIA National Committee is the governing body for Australia’s digital industry association.

This year the number of candidates vying for the three available seats reached a record of 11. Following a close competition, the newly elected members are: independent candidate Will Berryman, Google’s Tamzin Taylor and The One Centre’s John Ford.

Berryman, Taylor and Ford join existing members: Karson Stimson (WeAreDigital); Annette Dockerty (Smart Services CRC); Dale Cohen (Telstra Media); Malcolm Alder (Independent); Rob Leach (BBC Worldwide); and Tim O’Neill (Reactive).

The departing committee members are Simon Goodrich (Portable Content); Mark Bamford (Tresscox); and Peter Bray (Saatchi & Saatchi), who departed earlier this year.

Says Tim O’Neill, AIMIA National Committee president and joint MD of Reactive: “This year we had a record 11 candidates vying for three seats and as always the results were quite close. We are thrilled to welcome our new members to the committee and look forward to working with them.

“We’d also like to take the opportunity to thank our departing members, Simon Goodrich, Mark Bamford and Peter Bray, all of whom contributed immensely to AIMIA’s industry development efforts throughout their time on the board. We wish them all the best in the future.”

The first meeting of the new board will take place in September.
