ST-KILDA-VIDEO.jpgTom Vizard and creative partner Gil Benjamin, who both graduated from AWARD School Melbourne earlier this year, were recently invited by the St. Kilda Football Club to create a short film on their behalf for a campaign being run by Virgin Australia.

The video they created for St. Kilda ended up taking out the top prize of 30 return flights to America for altitude training, which was announced yesterday.

The campaign, entitled ‘AFL Tropfest’, was open to all AFL clubs, who were each encouraged to submit an entry based on the theme ‘going the extra mile’. The winner of the competition was to be decided on social media likes, comments, views and shares, which made it a challenging task for the pair, as clubs with bigger fan bases automatically had the upper hand.

They devised an approach for the video that they thought would appeal to a wider market, as well as gain media attention. The video was featured on all football programmes, as well as various newspapers.
