GASinc Composer Photo.jpgFour unique new composers, all masters of their own style, have this week been formally

welcomed to the GASinc team. Hand-picked by MD Jason Murphy, the composers will work under the guidance of Murphy and music director Andy Evans.

The new composers are Chiara Kickdrum, Oscar Dawson, Arik Blum and Alister Mew.

Kickdrum, a classically trained pianist, DJ and songwriter, has just appeared with her own composition and performances for the Dion Lee show at the New York Fashion Festival. Earlier in 2013, she was playing shows at the DARK MOFO Festival at Tasmania’s MONA, and the L’Oreal Melbourne Fashion Festival. Chiara’s on her way back from New York as this goes to print.

Dawson is an amazing producer/songwriter, and is currently recording an upcoming album with Melbourne’s Ali Barter. He writes with a variety of artists and was in the hit band Dukes Of Windsor. He is also part of Holy Holy who have single ‘Impossible Like You’ now getting high rotation on Triple J. After a recent move back home from Berlin, Dawson has been writing and producing an incredible array of songs and film scores.

Blum is an accomplished songwriter and producer who works with a multitude of different artists, and has recently returned from a songwriting tour of Taiwan. He is currently writing and producing with Straythread, Razors Ockram and La Rosa Marchita. Blum also has song currently doing the rounds on Triple J called ‘Cheerleaders’, co-written and co-produced with underground Melbourne duo, Cash For Gold.

Mew, a classically trained guitarist, is currently recording and mixing his original new album of Leftfield Electronica. Once finished, he will be taking it on the road. Mew also composes music and sound design for some of Melbourne’s major theatre companies, and one of his shows ‘Delectable Shelter’, has just finished it’s national tour.

GASinc is excited to be growing their creative network and look forward to collaborating on

your next project.
