AMG_SYD_LAUNCH_MADMEN_3-6-13_PHOTO3.jpgThe third event in a series to be hosted by The NSW Account Management Group this year, “3-Minute Mentors” takes place at Ogilvy in Sydney on Wednesday, 18th September, offering local account managers a unique opportunity for one-on-one mentoring with managing directors, CEOs and client service directors from across The Communications Council’s member base.

Venue: Ogilvy, 72 Christie Street, St Leonards.

Date: Wednesday 18th September.

Time: 6:00pm – 8:30pm

Member entry: RSVP here.

Non-member tickets: Buy tickets here.

Up to twenty senior suits will share their experience and answer questions on relationship building, selling creative, leadership skills, business acumen, monetising social media, work-life balance, the balance between specialist and generalist, and making your own luck. Mentors include: Lisa Ramsay (BMF), Gareth Collins (Clemenger), Andy Pontin (Clemenger), Jamie Clift (Droga5), Alex Carr (Havas), Katie Rigg-Smith (Mindshare), Toby Hack (PHD), Ameer Youssef (R/GA), Paul Bennett (SapientNitro), and Jules Hall (The Hallway).

Says Margaret Zabel, CEO of The Communications Council: “We are extremely grateful to all of our members who have agreed to be involved. This is a valuable opportunity for both sides to either learn or express what it is expected of today’s account managers. Research conducted around the AMG launch in May revealed the majority of 25-34 year old account managers questioned were tired of being dubbed yesterday’s ‘bag carriers’, and were anxious for guidance from senior management on how to break the mould.”

Entry is free for AMG members and tickets are available for non-members at $35 each. Please find full event details below.
