Hein Mevissen joins Luscious International’s growing portfolio of comedy directors
Highly awarded director and creative, Hein Mevissen has joined Luscious International’s portfolio of comedy directors.
Mevissen began working in the industry at an early age. By 19 he had started his career in adverting and art director with Ogilvy. After various years in the business he moved onto film directing. He inclined towards comedy simply because of his talent to pick out the bizarreness and irregularities of everyday life and present them in a way that makes us laugh at ourselves. He has proved his ability to adapt his European sense of humour to other cultures and markets, and it is for this reason that Luscious feels he will bring a fresh approach to Australian comedy story-boards.
Says Mevissen: “If I’m invited to join a pitch, I always make sure I will be proud of the end result, if not, it’s not worth doing?”
Luscious is glad to have Mevissen on board and look forward doing some hilarious work with him here in Australia.
