Meatwave.jpgWith temperatures set to soar this summer, Grill’d is launching Australia’s first temperature controlled promotion via Vice Australia and Deepend.

The giveaway will see free burgers, beers and other sweet deals up for grabs across the country – but only once temperatures rise to a certain level.

Burger fans are encouraged to sign up via the Grill’d Facebook page and pick up a free ‘Meatwave’ registration card at their local restaurant. On Monday of each week, a temperature target will be nominated at www.grilld.com.au/meatwave. When the target temperature is reached, the region will be highlighted ‘Active’, giving ‘Meatwave’ card holders the chance to visit their nearest restaurant and claim their free item or deal.

Says Simon Crowe, Grill’d founder: “Australians love to talk about the great weather and, as Grill’d is a 100 per cent Australian born and bred business, we’ve decided to take this one step further and celebrate the heat the best way we know how.

“Heatwaves, lazy beach days and blazing sunshine are all staples of the season, but never before have the Australian people been rewarded for the hot weather. The ‘Meatwave’ initiative is a first – giving Australians another great reason to look forward to a

long hot summer.”

The promotion will run for four weeks from Monday 20th January – Sunday 16th February, with new temperature targets set each week.

The consumer promotion and all digital assets have been devised by Vice Australia. The Facebook app and website have been developed by Melbourne based digital agency Deepend.
