IGA launches ‘Summer Fun’ campaign via Creative Oasis to reward us for shopping local

IGA-NEW-YEAR.jpgAustralia’s largest network of 1,400 independent supermarkets, IGA, has launched its new campaign for the start of 2014 via Creative Oasis titled, ‘Summer Fun’. The campaign reinforces its local positioning by encouraging Aussies to shop at IGA and SUPA IGA throughout the summer holidays.

The TVC offers a playful and unexpected depiction of shopping locally this summer, with a water-slide plunging straight into an IGA store. Customers are reassured that no matter how they have fun this summer, they are never far away from an IGA or SUPA IGA.

The fully integrated campaign delivers a promotion that will reward IGA customers for shopping local this summer. The campaign is centered on driving consumers in-store to win one of five $10,000 summer fun holidays, as well as a share of $50,000 in IGA gift cards.

Says Michele Teague, general manager marketing at Metcash Food & Grocery understanding the seasonal benefits that this sort of consumer engagement brings: “Many Australians spend a great deal of time out and about over the summer months. With our first big consumer promotion for 2014, we want to reward our shoppers and let them know that no matter where they may be this summer, there’s an IGA store just around the corner. The campaign is designed to encapsulate what ‘Summer Fun’ means for Australians, coupled with the convenience of shopping local at IGA,” continued Teague.

‘Summer Fun’ will run from today until 28 January, 2014.
