Adam DM&C Saatchi Sport & Entertainment has created ‘West Side Stories’ – a four-episode online video series for NRMA Insurance to highlight its partnership of the Western Sydney Wanderers.

The videos give a fascinating insight into the passion and commitment of Wanderers players and fans. The series highlights the value of experience and how the knowledge gained from a wide variety of sources provides a platform for success, in this case the Wanderers.

Episode One, that went live on the NRMA Insurance Wanderers website this week, looks at Wanderers’ left back Adam D’apuzzo and how experiences in his journey as a footballer have helped him play a crucial part in the Wanderers amazing first year.

Also featuring players Mark Bridge and Nikolai Topor-Stanley, the episode takes the viewer through the different stages of Adam’s career and looks at what lessons he’s learned about life and football along the way.

The ‘West Side Stories’ give football fans an insight into the diverse range of people that make up the club that took the Hyundai A League by storm in its debut year.

The episodes will outline the different and unique experiences of players and fans, linking this to the importance of learning from experience that is a key ethos of the NRMA brand.

Says John Lewis, NRMA Insurance head of advertising: “We know that experience is invaluable no matter what you are doing. Our series ‘West Side Stories’ shows that everyone has experience which when drawn on can make a real difference.

“Adam is a determined professional who has learned some invaluable lessons during his time as a footballer. This piece has allowed us to show the importance of experience and how harnessing it effectively can set you apart from your competition.”

M&C Saatchi Sport & Entertainment director Jack Lamacraft said it was very important to show rather than tell the great attributes that make up the NRMA Insurance brand.

Says Lamacraft: “The back stories of Wanderers’ players and fans demonstrate the sorts of experiences, commitment and passion that have lead them to a winning team culture on and off the pitch. Those stories perfectly encapsulate what NRMA is all about after 85 years as the nation’s leading insurance provider.”
