Elise Lindsay.jpegNylon Studios is pleased to announce the appointment of licensing manager Elise Lindsay. Based in Sydney, her role is to offer full music supervision services, in addition to the music composition, sound and post services already available at the sound house.

Lindsay arrives at Nylon Studios with over 13 years experience in the music industry. Her new position will see her focus on the full spectrum of music licensing, including song searches, rights negotiation, clearances and contract administration.

Says Lindsay: “I’m extremely excited to join the ranks at Nylon; one of the country’s most reputable sound companies. It also presents a wonderful opportunity to work with some of the most progressive local agencies and clients around town.”

Beginning her career in the copyright department at EMI Music Publishing, and following a stint in the U.K. (working for labels such as Beggars Banquet and London Records), in 2005 Lindsay secured a role in the licensing team at BMG Music Publishing and has worked in music licensing since.

In 2008, she was appointed licensing manager at EMI Music Publishing. Based at EMI for four years, she negotiated and cleared works on ad campaigns for brands such as Qantas, Optus, Toyota and Telstra and placed works in countless film and television productions, including Happy Feet II, Animal Kingdom, Red Dog, The Great Gatsby, Offspring and Underbelly.

Says Mark Beckhaus, Nylon Studios co-founder and director of music: “Elise’s experience working in conjunction with songwriters and artist management to negotiate placements that benefit both the artist’s career and the creative interests of our clients is a service we look forward to offering.”
