V8 Supercars appoints Host as new creative agency partner ahead of 2014 season opener

The agency is working with V8 Supercars to define a new brand strategy and integrated campaign for 2014.

 

Says John Casey, V8 Supercars director – marketing: “We needed an agency that was strategic, creative, responsive and as ambitious for our business as we are. Host had all the bases covered.”

Says Anthony Freedman, founder and group CEO: “V8 Supercars is one of the leading sports entertainment properties in Australia and we’re excited about playing a part in growing the fan base even further.”

 

V8 Supercars is the third most watched sport in Australia with 19m television viewers and 2m people through the gates. It has recently introduced new cars, new manufacturers, new drivers, racing formats and tracks.

 

2014 will see further innovation including new race formats – Supersprint, Superstreet and Pirtek Enduro Cup – racing into the night and participation from Volvo alongside Ford, Holden, Nissan and Erebus Motorsport V8.

 

The 2014 V8 Supercars season starts with the sydney.com pre-season Test day at Sydney Motorsport Park on Saturday week (February 15) with the Championship opener the Clipsal 500 in Adelaide 27 February to 2 March.
