Since first opening in 1898, and named to honour the monarch’s Diamond Jubilee, the QVB continues to set the pace for the harbour city. Bringing this grand legacy into the now, the QVB has utilised New York-based Trunfio’s in-demand face throughout its new season campaign and also as the cover star of its debut issue of Icon magazine, a biannual publication that treasures the past and celebrates the future.

A favourite of Chanel, Dolce & Gabbana, Christian Dior and Gucci, Trunfio is at the top of her game. Always the elegant rebel, her sartorial approach on and off the red carpet exudes a glam-rock vibe that has many following her lead. Then there’s her starring role as judge on the soon-to-air television show The Face Australia alongside Naomi Campbell. She brings an exuberant charm to the QVB that takes the iconic destination to a bolder and more directional aesthetic than ever before.

140123_QVB_Sh08_007_PR.jpgSays Taryn McGurk, group marketing manager: “Nicole Trunfio is such an amazing Australian talent, who is shooting with the world’s best in the fashion industry. Her sophisticated look was the ideal fit to launch the new season. Nicole’s dynamic energy on the shoot shines through in the imagery and the results signal an exciting new direction for the QVB.”

Shot by Nicole Bentley and uber-stylist Mark Vassallo, the QVB’s autumn winter 2014 campaign declares the return of royal style, indulging in a timeless era of opulence. Playing the perfect drama queen, Trunfio is adorned in luxurious textures, rich gem tones and majestic masculine-meets-feminine silhouettes. Splendid diamond, pearl and antique jewellery pieces, that would rival the crown jewels, embellish the standout looks.

Part two of the campaign edits the season’s most wanted trends, taking a universally appealing approach to contemporary and simply beautiful dressing. Trunfio’s natural beauty radiates in sculptural shapes, tomboy 140123_QVB_Sh04_005_PR.jpggraces, soft layering, minty hues and peekaboo elegance. While styling pulls its cues from the classics, the execution is entirely fresh with clean-lined minimalism and subtle colour palette dominating.

From delightful cafes to curious collectables and unique gifts for little ones, discover the unrivalled splendour of this iconic building that is now and forever in style.
