Surry Hills studio Agency named New Agency of the Year at International Net Awards in London
Agency, a creative studio out of Surry Hills, Sydney that works solely for social good has been named ‘New Agency of the Year’ at the international Net Awards in London.
The Net Awards has recognised Agency as the world’s best new agency from a field of hundreds of hopefuls. The awards are the biggest of their kind and were judged by a panel of industry experts from companies such as Twitter, Behance and Mozilla.
The award puts Agency in the company of other category winners including Agency of the Year, Teehan + Lax from Canada, who were rewarded for their work on Google Street View and Medium, and the Government Digital Service of the United Kingdom who lead their government’s digital transformation.
Murray Bunton, managing director at Agency, described the win as an unexpected delight.
Says Bunton: “As a studio we work solely on projects that promote human rights, social justice and sustainability, so to mix it with big, corporate campaigns is great for us, but even better for the causes we are working to promote.”
Agency came together less than a year ago with the vision of building Australia’s leading creative studio working for social change.
In its first year, Agency has worked on projects for the United Nations, World Vision, and the Foundation for Young Australians. Agency were the team behind the relaunch of the Climate Council after last year’s federal election and have worked on similar campaigns for Oaktree, GetUp! and Amnesty International.

Well done Agency, quite an achievement and Australia should celebrate, but I do have to question Get Up as a client in an agency that promotes human rights, sustainability ( whatever that means this week ) and social justice (is that different from regular very day justice ? ) get up is nothing more than group of leftie would be politicians. They are mad There is nothing human rightish about them
how about they are an alternative view to what we are largely fed by the right wing dominated media in this country. Most of the emails that i receive from get up seem to involve them fighting issues that are in corporate interests but not necessarily in the public’s interest. is’nt this of benefit to the community?
