CB Exclusive: Best rebrands of 2014 revealed

CNN

As part of the new rebranding campaign for CNN, they have released a new TV advert called ‘Go There‘. This is with the aim that the audience will see that CNN can and go pretty much anywhere, literally. According to Broadbandtvnews.com, the CNN broadcaster said: “From the ends of the earth to the heart of the story, CNN always goes where no-one else has gone.”

The rebranding for PayPal looks to create a new identity as a part of the brands movement towards mobile and wearable devices. The aim for this new rebranding quest is to provide payment solutions to customers no matter where they are. Features in the new identity campaign is a new monogram that consists of two translucent Ps and also a brand new redrawn logo. This is so that the logo can be identified on smaller screens such as phones.

In the last month Ladbrokes has released their new branding for 2014, called ‘The Ladbrokes Lifestyle’. This new campaign is to celebrate those who lead ‘The Ladbrokes Life’ with the hopes that this will set them apart from the rest of their category. The rebranding can be found online and throughout the betting shops, as well as in Ladbrokes new TV advert. The TV advert gives audiences a quick snapshot of the different types of people who lead ‘The Ladbrokes Life’. The five characters from the TV advert will be included in other aspects of the rebranding campaign such as press, outdoor and social. Ladbrokes will also be releasing five 30-second adverts that will feature each character over the course of the year ahead.

 

Payments Council

The work to rebrand the Payments Council looks to work across a range of areas such as print, radio, outdoor, online and social media. Their new TV advert addresses the trust and ease of the new Paym service. This means that customers are able to both receive and send payments using only a mobile number.

Dave

It has been 7 long years since Dave last rebranded. Their new campaign involves promoting their new identity online and on air. They have also announced several original comedy commissions, including three World Cup 2014 football specials.
