Hangoverkit_01.jpgDebauchery, nudity, Godless excess and ritualistic dancing. If your Friday night included one or all of those things, chances are you were on deck to help Hell Studios celebrate its first birthday at its studios in Gwynne St, Cremorne.

Upon arrival guests were greeted with their choice of cocktail, generously supplied by the skilled mixologists from Mister Mixer. CUB and Asahi helped keep everyone well and truly hydrated for the rest of the evening while Greta and Pat from Comeback Kid nailed the vibe of the night with a superb mix of tunes. And just to prove that the guys at Hell think of everything, a redemption pack was available at the exit complete with eye drops, lollies, mints, a chocolate frog, panadol and Hydralyte.

In its brief 365 days of operation, the crew at Hell are fast becoming as famous for its parties as they are for photography. And as the few hundred-odd guests found out on Friday night, the two are not necessarily mutually exclusive. Some 1400 photos were created in a self-service photo booth over the course of the evening/night/morning, with the party hosts open to offers from any guests wishing to have any evidence wiped off the face of the earth before the whole lot is posted to their Facebook page later in the week.

Joint owners Carlos Alcaide, Nicky Finlay and Richard Dion Wilson were understandable chuffed with how the night went. Unfortunately none of them were available for comment at time of publication.

It truly was one hell of a party.
