Musical Store Directory_App.jpgCultural and lifestyle shopping destination The Galeries has this week launched Australia’s first-ever Musical Store Directory via Urban in partnership with Spotify.

The Galeries Musical Store Directory re-imagines the traditional in-centre store directory experience, allowing customers to browse retailer offerings based on their current mood or favourite musical genre.

Shoppers’ selections launch information about mood-matched retailers and music playlists curated by FBi Radio’s general manager of Music, Dan Zilber, which are audible only to them via audio spotlight technology.

Says Zilber: “The Galeries have been really innovative by combining human curation with clever technology to deliver a playlist that compliments the user’s mood and utilises music to connect them emotionally to their experience at one of Sydney’s best retail spots.”

Musical Store Directory_Experience.jpgSays Gavin McDonough, Urban CEO: “With The Musical Store Directory our client was genuinely brave, embracing the opportunity to bring to life the current trend of mood-based music selection through an innovative live and digital experience. The result; a genuinely unique, personal and emotionally charged real-world shopping experience.”

Shoppers also have the chance to win The Ultimate Music Marathon – double passes to see 19 sideshow acts, presented by Secret Sounds. For every $100 or more spent in-centre, customers will go into the draw to win tickets to some of the hottest international acts performing in Sydney this July, including sold-out shows for London Grammar, The 1975, Grouplove, Ben Howard and Asgeir.
