Headed by award-winning executive producer Susannah DiLallo, the Rapid Films off-shoot offers a streamlined and integrated approach for clients and agencies through a complete service offering spanning concept stage and initial shooting to final post approval.

Plate Up has lured two of the country’s best food director/cinematographers, Geoff Brown (ex-Ogilvy and Carnival) and Susan Stitt (ex-Film Motel), who bring over 50 years of industry experience to the table.

Highly awarded, Brown has worked with a host of Australia’s major blue chip food brands throughout his prominent career in the photographic and motion picture industry. Brown’s passion for food excites and fascinates him, constantly exploring new and innovative imagery to deliver work of exceptional quality that is fresh, contemporary and always relevant in today’s market. A self-described food addict, Stitt has worked in the camera department on features and TVCs for 30 years, which has seen her work with some of the largest companies worldwide. She brings her extensive experience as a stylist, chef, restaurant owner, author and student of the art of cuisine to her work creating exquisite visual images.

Focused on delivering flexible options, Plate Up Productions’ clients have the choice of working with the company’s in-house stable of live action directors or bringing in their own creatives, while drawing on Plate Up’s facilities and resources as an independent production company.

Says DiLallo: “We work with the best food stylists, live action directors and DOPs in the country to deliver a fresh approach to food advertising that spans the whole experience and total production management, whether it be a studio shoot, live action or on location.

“Our integrated approach eliminates one of the banes of producers’ lives – having to split budgets and juggle crossover production schedules. We streamline it for them by bringing everything together to save clients time and money and deliver a much smoother creative and production process.

“The icing on the cake is it’s all delivered by a team with extensive experience in all aspects of food coverage for the advertising market, including working with some of Australia’s major food brands.”

Plate Up Productions has production facilities in Sydney’s Paddington, as well as special access to Sunstudios’ renowned creative space in Alexandria, specifically selected by Plate Up as the perfect place for food shooting.
