18 Aussie entries make the Spikes Asia Awards’ Film shortlist + 17 finalists in Film Craft category

Screen Shot 2014-09-25 at 10.27.13 am.jpg18 Australian entries have made the cut at the shortlist stage of the Spikes Asia Awards’ Film category, which sees 57 entries making the shortlist. In the Film Craft category Australia has scored 17 finalists out of a total 51.

In Film, DDB Melbourne leads the Australian agency charge with seven finalists. DDB Melbourne has been shortlisted for Devondale Easy Peel Cheese ‘Cyclops’, Devondale Milk ‘The Take Over’ and five executions for client Cussons, has also made the shortlist.

Three executions from Clemenger BBDO, Brisbane for Nimble Smart Little Loans has made the cut. Whybin\TBWA Group, Melbourne has scored two finalists for Nissan Australia ‘Small Packages’ and ‘The Underdog’.

3029083-poster-p-1-touch-my-self-project.jpgScoring one finalist each is Clemenger BBDO, Sydney for V Energy Drink ‘Vikings’, cummins&partners for Asahi Premium Beverages ‘How We Roll’, BMF Sydney for ALDI ‘Doctor ALDI’, Publicis Mojo Brisbane for AirAsia ‘The Holiday Bulge’, The Brand Agency Perth for St John Ambulance WA ‘Break The Barrier’ and JWT Sydney via Soap Creative for Breast Cancer Prevention ‘I Touch Myself Project’.

The house has made the cut four times for Smirnoff Double Black ‘Comets’ via Leo Burnett Sydney, three times for Samsung ‘Every Day is Day One’ via 72andSunny, Amsterdam and once for Lindemans ‘Everybody Loves Sunshine’ via DDB Melbourne.

Scoring one finalist on the shortlist is Revolver/Will O’Rourke for BNZ ‘The Power of a Dollar’ via Colenso, BBDO Auckland, The Brand Agency Perth for St John Ambulance WA ‘Break The Barrier’, Fin Design + Effects Sydney for NZTA ‘Mistakes’ via Clemenger BBDO, Wellington, Alt.VFX Brisbane for Spark NZ ‘Spark 60 Launch’ via Saatchi & Saatchi Auckland and iris Worldwide Sydney for Unicef Australia ‘The Power of 5’.
