Clare 5.jpgExpanding production house SceneOn has added another new recruit to its team, adding Clare Monte as head of multi-platform media and innovation.

Having worked in both media and advertising agencies, as well as client side, Monte understands what both creative agencies and marketing managers are looking for.

Monte’s experience includes a stint at the infamous idea generation furnace AWARD School, working on the NAB account with the Clemenger Art Studio (now known as hub+) and some time spent learning the ropes of filmmaking at the New York Film Academy.

Says Monte: “I think this is an exciting time to be in the world of new media. No longer are 30 second TVCs alone sustaining interest. Clever brands are recognising the opportunity and importance of investing in branded entertainment across multiple platforms – take the Lego movie and the Chipotle short films for example. These are effective at creating deeply engaging and memorable brand storytelling that forges an emotional connection with the consumer. Brands need to invest in creative that exists on multiple platforms, at SceneOn our focus will be supporting agencies that strive to offer their brands new and innovative strategy.”

With a focus on creating online content and branded entertainment, SceneOn is currently on the hunt for the new generation of young bloods in Australian filmmaking.

Says Andrew Coyle, executive director, SceneOn: “We’re looking for Directors who are natural storytellers, who’ve demonstrated their ability to create memorable entertainment. We’re more than a one stop commercial shop.”

To align with this strategy, several up and coming directors will be added under SceneOn’s roof. Next week, the first of four new directors will be announced.
