UV CB1.jpgTo celebrate 2014, Aussie music and sound company Uncanny Valley threw a party for its creative clients and friends at Nude at The Australian Youth Hotel in Glebe.

It’s been a full tilt year for Uncanny Valley so far, with the launch of its audio post arm and a platter of high profile music projects. From an increasing presence in China (SDL, Tao Bao, Jolly Rancher, CCTV) to local Big W, Google, Whitsundays and Jim Beam campaigns, to #ourABC, Commonwealth Games, BBC and Foxtel Boxsets launches.

UV CB2.jpg2014 also saw UV become increasingly active in network television and long form content creation, bringing producer Caroline Pegram on board this year they have consequently landed series including: Married at First Sight, Colin’s Ireland and now House Rules. Major license track re-records and remixes also remain a forte of the UV music team, having delivered on series UV CB3.jpgpromos for Australia’s Next Top Model, Real Housewives of Melbourne, I’m a Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here and The Block.

More recently head composer Justin Shave and EP Charlton Hill have hit the speaking circuit, delivering their talk Music & Sound: The Anatomy of an Earworm to a highly impressed crowd at the recent Promax event in Sydney – and will do it UV CB4.jpgall over again at Promax Singapore in December, 2014. This talk gives Shave and Hill a chance to engage with their audience beyond the usual expectation of composer / producers. It’s a fascinating chat in which they look at the evolution of human response to audio and the psychology behind music use as a brand tool.
