The Pool Collective and Maud reveal all 9 1/2 inches of ‘The Hedghog and the Foxes’ tonight

In a special collaboration The Pool Collective and Maud invite you to celebrate the launch of the limited edition photo book, ‘The Hedgehog and The Foxes’, all to be revealed tonight (Thursday 12 February) at the Lowdown Gallery in Paddington.

According to Isaiah Berlin, the fox knows many things, but the hedgehog knows one big thing. Stretching over 2000 films, Ron Jeremy’s career has placed him on the top of the hall of fame. ‘The Hedgehog And The Foxes’ photo book is a fly-on-the-wall account of 48 hours in the life of the world’s most recognisable adult star as he visits a series of staged parties thrown for him by the multiple strangers who registered their interest to do so via Facebook.

Pool photographer, Ingvar Kenne captured the notorious character Ron Jeremy aka ‘The Hedgehog’ and his nonsensical influence on those around him. Working closely with the team at MAUD, the design solution for the book was to tell the story through form in addition to the images. The process of having to “unwrap” several layers before finally arriving to a somewhat incomplete book is a deliberate act of an unfulfilled and stilted experience. The end result being that in spite of gloss and fun, what remains is somewhat empty.

The 250 limited edition photo books will be launched at the Lowdown Gallery tonight, featuring pornographically infused beats courtesy of the incomparable FBI Radio DJ Jack Shit and refreshing brews sponsored by Young Henry’s.
