Craig Chester’s Cannes Diary: The Final Day

I can’t let my hair down. I’m follically challenged. But if I could, I would.

Because judging is over and it’s time to celebrate. Well – almost.

At 11 am today I have a press conference to attend. It will be my first. Virgins are currently thin on the ground here in Cannes but that’s what I am from a media point of view – a virgin. So I’m feeling a little exposed.

CHESTER-Cannes-Steps.jpgBut after that I get to polish up my scone, hit a PHCG function or two before cruising to the awards ceremony.

The winners will then be announced and others will discover they missed out. Some will want to kiss me and others will want to see me killed. And then my shiny head may have to duck because I’m dodging a mobile phone aimed at my shiny skull. Or even worse, a hairy, beer gutted creative may want to plant one on my noggin.

Time to keep a low profile. And to leave Cannes on Sunday with my shiny head held high. Because I survived my first press conference and I was a Lions Health judge. I baldly went where this man has never been before.

Congratulations to all winners at Lions Health this year.

See you back in Oz.
