emotivehires (1).jpgIndependent content marketing business, Emotive, continues its expansion with the announcement of two new appointments. Laura Fitzpatrick (left) joins the team in the role of content strategist and Shane McMillan (right) in the role of brand activations manager.

Formerly the national strategy director at Mamamia Women’s Network, Fitzpatrick brings a wealth of knowledge to Emotive with over 10 years’ experience in content strategy and integration. In this newly created role, Fitzpatrick will be responsible for working with Emotive key clients to develop video content strategy – ensuring that the content created is of real value to both the brand and target audience. Fitzpatrick will be based in Melbourne with the announcement also reflecting the commencement of Emotive’s roll-out in this market.

Says Fitzpatrick: “Emotive only launched 5 months ago and already they have an enviable reputation. I am delighted to join such a fast paced, creative and forward-thinking content business.”

McMillan joins Emotive from Nova Entertainment after 4 years where she was the national campaign implementation manager and played a pivotal role in the delivery of music partnerships. McMillan will be responsible for managing content partnerships and executing national content campaigns for brands.

Says McMillan: “I’m extremely excited to join the Emotive team and to be able to connect my passion for entertainment culture and great content with my experience in campaign execution and brand partnerships.”

Both these appointments reflect the rapid growth and success of Emotive since its launch back in February. Emotive shot out of the blocks delivering a new and more accountable model to the content marketing landscape and have worked with some of the country’s biggest brands, including the Cannes Lion winning social video campaign for Optus starring Ricky Gervais.

Says Simon Joyce, CEO, Emotive: “We are super excited to welcome these two top performing executives to the Emotive team. Emotive has seen significant growth since launch and that has only been possible because of the calibre of staff that the business has attracted. I truly believe we have a market-leading team and our momentum is set to increase in the coming months with the launch of a number of high profile content campaigns.”

Both McMillan and Fitzpatrick will commence with Emotive on Monday 27th July.
