Tobin Brothers Funerals launches new ‘My Celebration’ campaign via RGG Creative

Screen Shot 2015-09-21 at 8.16.22 am.jpgThis week Tobin Brothers Funerals is launching its new ‘My Celebration’ commercials across TV, radio and web. The spots feature real people describing how they would like to be celebrated, and the results are surprisingly joyful.

All the spots were produced, written and directed by (then) freelance creative Robin Geradts-Gill, who is now full time with London digital agency Adjust Your Set.

They follow on from Tobin Brothers’ highly successful ‘The Surfers’ TV spot from 2013, which

depicted a traditional surfer’s memorial paddle-out, and are part of Tobin Brothers’ ongoing mission to encourage people to think differently about how they approach funeral services.

Says James MacLeod, managing director, Tobin Brothers Funerals: “What I hope these ads do is give people in the community permission to think more broadly and creatively about their life celebration. We want every service to be as unique as the life being celebrated.”

The spots are part of a broader campaign that also includes four new TV spots featuring Tobin Brothers Funerals brand ambassador Denis Walter. The new ads see Denis and his wife Annette on a wilderness jaunt in Tasmania, and sharing some family adventure at a grandkids’ rock- climbing birthday party.
