Australia picks up five Gold, one Silver and two Bronze at the 2015 APAC ‘Smarties’ Awards

Penny the Pirate-001-thumb-400x266-155324.jpgAustralia has secured five Gold awards, one Silver and two Bronze at the 2015 Mobile Marketing Association APAC  ‘Smarties’ Awards announced at the end of last week.

Saatchi & Saatchi Sydney led the Australian agency pack with OPSM ‘Penny The Pirate’ scoring three Golds in the Product / Services Launch, Mobile App, and Best Brand Experience in Mobile Rich Media categories. Mnet Mobile had a good run scoring a Gold in the Location Based category for Queensland Fire and Emergency Services ‘INCSnap’, a Silver in Mobile App for Network Seven ‘The Big Adventure’ and a Bronze in Mobile App for AMP Capital ‘My Macquarie’. Starcom Mediavest Group / Havas Worldwide Sydney’s #MealforaMeal for Virgin Mobile Australia scored a Gold in Promotion and a Bronze in Mobile Payments.

Mnet awards work (1).jpgMnet’s recent wins add to its winning streak capturing 14 Asia Pacific and Australian awards in the past week, bringing the agency’s awards total to 25 in 2015 and to 52 in the past 18 months.

Mnet has also scored nine Australian App Design awards and 2 SAIMX awards.

Mnet’s awards in the past 18 months have recognised the agency’s capabilities in creativity, technology, innovation, mobile, media, gaming, branded entertainment, ecommerce, sports marketing and overall business performance. Seven clients have featured in the awards tally including Kia (Game On), Victorian Electoral Commission (Vote Victoria), IOOF (financial services) and Australian Government Department of Veteran Affairs (Gallipoli).
