Vale ‘Hoggy’
Many in the industry will be saddened to hear of the passing of much loved advertising production specialist Danny Hogg (Hoggy) in Indonesia.
After 15 years at agencies Singleton O&M, Clemenger BBDO and production company Hub+ Danny traded the stress and his well-paying career to join a small real estate agency in sleepy Senggigi (Lombok) for year-round sun and WAY LESS money (his own words). It’s fair to say he’d never been happier (still, his own words).
That was until November 12th when the dream life he created with his new bride Izzy and their new baby daughter Java took an unexpected and frightening turn. Danny was involved in a very serious motorbike accident. He sustained critical injuries from which he did not recover and it’s with an extremely heavy heart we pass on the news.
Our thoughts and prayers are with Danny’s family during this difficult time, his loving friends and loyal supporters.
Notably, Danny himself supported many charitable foundations including Snowdome, where he, Glenn Pyke (Robotfeet) and Emma Stone (Frost Design) traversed India in a Rickshaw raising over $10,000 for blood cancer therapies and cures.
A celebration of his life will be held:
2.30pm, Sunday 13th December
The Royal Saxon Hotel
545 Church Street Richmond, Melbourne
Everyone is welcome to pay their respects to this wonderful man in the way he wanted, with love, laughs and a few beers thrown in.

Let me be the first to pass on my respects. Hoggy was a wonderful bloke and he will be much missed but never forgotten. I had the pleasure of working with him at Clems and he gave his time and enthusiasm for Snowdome along with Em and Pykie.
Hoggy, your life was too short. You had so much more to do.
Rub.
A privilege to have spent 18 years with the great man as a colleague and mate. He’ll be sadly missed but never forgotten. Thanks for your significant contribution to so many people brother.
A true gentleman and somebody who lived life to the full and always wore his heart on his sleeve. I’ll always remember our days at Singos as a young suit and the days you used to throw incomplete job bags at my head 🙂 You taught me a lot of life lessons mate and I’ll be thinking of you and the old crew on your memorial day from Dubai. RIP Hoggy.
A good mate and colleague who I’m dearly going to miss.
So many good days. Thank you for being a friend. RIP mate.
Very sad to hear this news and especially sad given the circumstances. RIP Danny from a former Clems colleague.
One of the few last gentleman from this crazy industry who became a very close friend. Hoggy taught me so much professionally and personally. Not a day will pass where I don’t miss his smile, laugh and humour. He always had my back and I had his. I will be forever grateful for the time we shared. RIP Bro xx
I moved from the corporate world to my first advertising gig at clems. Hoggy said some of the funniest & rudest things i’d ever heard in a work place and instantly I felt this is going to be a fun ride. He definitely made me feel very welcome in this mad ad world. So sad to hear he’s gone.
