International director Tina Bull joins 8’s roster for representation in Australia, New Zealand and Asia

International director, Tina Bull has joined 8 for representation in the Australian, New Zealand and Asian markets. Combining a punchy design eye, an extensive VFX knowledge and a storyteller’s sensitivity, Bull brings a unique layer of diversity to 8’s stable of directors.

Hailing from humble beginnings, Bull was born and raised in Essex, England. Her career evolution began at London art school, where she studied typography and animation. Bull went on to become Creative Head at one of London’s top advertising and design companies, English & Pockett. It was here she forged a reputation as one of the most awarded and sought after broadcast designers and creative directors in the world, winning back-to-back awards at D&AD and BDA Promax. Bull’s passion for filmmaking led her into the commercial world, directing campaigns for global brands including British Airways, Yamaha, Subaru, Continental, Hyundai, LG, Nestle, Kellogg’s, Neutrogena and the BBC.

Says Bull: “I’ve been watching the evolution of  8 over the last few years. I’ve seen them go from strength to strength, attracting some wicked talent and an eclectic mix of projects. They are an exciting company with lots of energy and a great future. It just felt like the perfect match. The company’s passion for all types of filmmaking is infectious and immediately drew me in. They’ve created an environment that nurtures and really cares about developing their directors and this sealed the deal. I am proud to call 8 my new home and looking forward to the next chapter in my filmmaking adventures down under, it seems I wont be going home anytime soon.”

Bull splits her time between Sydney, London and NYC. She is represented in the US by Harpoon Pictures.
