AACTA Awards_Antony and Sophie.jpgSonar Music’s Antony Partos has dominated the Australian film awards for his recent work on the internationally acclaimed film Tanna and BAFTA nominated film Sherpa, which has its Australian cinematic release this week.

The Sherpa soundtrack took out Best Music for a Documentary at the Australian Guild of Screen Composers and APRA Screen Music Awards and Best Original Music Score in a Documentary at the 2015 AACTA Awards.

Distributed by Transmission Films and directed by Jennifer Peedom, Sherpa (2015) tells the story of a group of filmmakers who set out to make a film of the 2014 Everest climbing season, from the Sherpas’ point of view. Instead, they captured a tragedy that would change Everest forever.
