Hey You + Bank of Melbourne create world’s fastest coffee via Saatchi & Saatchi Melbourne
Saatchi & Saatchi Melbourne, Hey You and the Bank of Melbourne have launched the world’s fastest coffee machine this week. The machine, dubbed Long Mach, brings a whole new meaning to ‘espresso’ as it froths, pours and serves delicious coffee at over 220km/h.
The Long Mach project was developed to launch Australia’s leading order-ahead payment app ‘Hey You’.
To promote this mechanical marvel, Guilty’s Christopher Tovo directed a fantastic mini web film, ‘The Race to Make Long Mach – The World’s Fastest Coffee,’ which has just been released throughout social media platforms
Says Jac Phillips, head of brand and marketing, Bank of Melbourne: “We’re here to help Victorians and their businesses prosper. Bank of Melbourne is proud to support innovative start-up Hey You and the team of local makers that made the dream of super-fast coffee a reality with Long Mach.”
Says Leon Wilson, group creative director, Saatchi & Saatchi Melbourne: “Inside every beautifully refined Italian coffee machine is a completely irrational Italian motorcycle wanting to go berserk, so it felt like an obvious solution.”
Long Mach will be appearing at select Melbourne locations until June and the launch includes a short film showcasing a sidecar circuit racer, a premium coffee machine and a very brave barista named Trevor.

Fun shoot. Clearly the bank has money to burn, as I’m not sure what the point is?
But it’s not actually faster – it’s just moving, isn’t it?
… I know, I know, it’s a joke….
Beautiful pics Tovo!
That did not look like 220kmph
