QT Melbourne launches #RoomNumberRedo creative project via Cummins&Partners
QT Hotels and Resorts is known for its creative flair and love of the avant-garde. So to celebrate the unveiling of the designer hotel QT Melbourne, Cummins&Partners has launched a project to find the most creative guests for the opening night.
#RoomNumberRedo invites the public to creatively reimagine the hotel room numbers, from 1 to 101, in any way possible for a chance to attend the exclusive opening night party and win a night’s stay at the hotel. Think paintings, dance, song, photography, a piece of writing or even a performance – the possibilities are endless. The competition is now open and entries need to be submitted via Instagram using the hashtag #RoomNumberRedo.
Each week high-profile judges, including Liz Sunshine, Nick Shelton, Gemma O’Brien, Fabio Ongarato, Kris Smith, Adam Ferrier and Grant Smillie, will select the most creative #RoomNumberRedo submissions, awarding the winners an overnight stay at the unique and quirky designer hotel and a golden ticket to the much-anticipated launch, where their work will be on display.
Says Julian Schreiber, ECD, Cummins&Partners: “Every QT hotel is unique and buzzing with creative energy. #RoomNumberRedo is our way of inviting people with those same qualities to be part of the launch, rub shoulders with the country’s creative elite and just have a ball on opening night.”
QT Hotels & Resorts group managing director, David Seargeant says the competition hopes to attract Melbourne and Australia’s most unique and imaginative spirits.
Says Seargeant: “QT Hotels & Resorts are all about connecting with the fabric of their respective cities and with the beating heart of the local communities. In Melbourne, this is truly expressed through the creative arts – #RoomNumberRedo captures the essence of this philosophy perfectly. We want the launch of QT Melbourne to be shared with the heart and soul of the Melbourne creative community, #RoomNumberRedo will really enable this.”
The campaign can be followed via #RoomNumberRedo on Instagram or at roomnumberredo.com.

Looks great, I’m sure Melbourne will get on board. The Skull one is awesome.
The examples are very nice. Lifts the bar of expectation.
So it’s the Block on the very cheap? Or am I missing some rabid genius?
Nice. Simple, clean, creative use of Instagram.
The food one. Where is 38?
If you read the copy it was dropped from 38cm.
