7 (1).jpgOn the eve of his Melbourne Film Festival premiere for the highly anticipated feature Rabbit – acclaimed director Luke Shanahan has announced his decision to freelance and can now be contacted directly for commercial work.

Shanahan has taken almost a year away from his TVC work to launch his first film which has become the buzz film of the festival, receiving the highest accolade from (MIFF) artistic director, Michelle Carey who has put the film in her “top 10 picks from the festival” alongside Cannes and Sundance award winners.

The film with key art (shot by Ben Baker) has just released its festival poster.

Says Shanahan: “Although I was always looking at scripts last year, the timing of the film made it hard to commit. Now that I’m back in the commercial world – I wanted to re-set and start afresh. Strangely, the film has opened a lot of doors commercially for me and I want to capitalize on them with a clean slate.”
