Mercedes-Benz Vans teams up with Airbnb for Marco Polo Activity launch via The Royals

Mercedes-Benz Vans will set up three brand new Marco Polo Activity vans on Cockatoo Island for three nights only from 10-12 August 2017. Nine adventurous couples will have the unique opportunity to book through Airbnb and experience a one night stay in the Marco Polo Activity with a perfect view of Sydney Harbour, for the small cost of the booking fee (AUD$15).

The Marco Polo Activity is a luxurious five to seven seater van with a roof that can pop-up and back seats that fold down to ensure a wonderful night's sleep. It gives you freedom to do whatever you want whenever, and more importantly, go wherever you want. Styled by Megan Morton, Australia's leading stylist and celebrated author, guests will enjoy a modern glamping interior with a signature Morton touch. All guests will have a dedicated host on hand to assist with everything they might need to enjoy their stay, and will receive delicious hampers and breakfast provided by Sonoma.

Says Diane Tarr, managing director of Mercedes-Benz Vans Australia and New Zealand says the brand likes to do things a little differently: "The Marco Polo Activity combines the best of functionality, flexibility and recreational capabilities in one vehicle.

"Instead of a regular vehicle launch, we wanted to bring the spirit of the Marco Polo to life - the feeling of adventure, and the notion that with the Marco Polo Activity you can experience truly unique destinations. What better way to do this than to wake up with the most iconic view in the world - Sydney harbour. We're truly excited to be collaborating with our agency partners, The Royals and Character, to create this once-in-a-lifetime experience on Airbnb."

Says Sam McDonagh, country manager for Airbnb Australia and New Zealand: "Airbnb connects people with unique travel experiences all around the world so they can belong anywhere. We are delighted to be teaming up with Mercedes-Benz Vans to bring this once-in-a-lifetime experience to a few lucky guests, offering them an opportunity to spend the night on the world heritage-listed Cockatoo Island and wake up to one of the most breathtaking views in the world."

The vans will be available to book on Airbnb from 12.00pm on Tuesday 1st August 2017 on a first-come first-serve basis.

This is a scam - tried to book as thought it would be selected on best entry , but all it says are dates you go to the trouble of writing your message and it won't accept booking because all of August is unavailable.
Marketing FAIL. Betcha all the lucky couples are friends of airbnb and Mercedes Benz.

isn't most of advertising a scam?

Did you not read the article? First-come first serve basis and you entered on the 2nd of August when it was on the 1st....
